Laura Jedeed is a freelance journalist based in New York City. Her bylines include The New Republic, New York Magazine, Politico, and Rolling Stone. She focuses on American conservative and far right movements.
A Colorado native, Laura joined the Army at 18 as a signals intelligence collector and analyst. She served two tours in Afghanistan with the 82nd Airborne Division in 2008 and 2009-10. After leaving the military, Laura worked as an analyst at a start-up, then as as a bartender at a bar, then as a poly-sci undergrad at Reed College. She recently graduated from NYU’s Literary Reportage program.
