1-17-21: Far-Right Rally Fizzles in Salem

Good morning, I’m in Salem, OR where perhaps 20 far right activists have assembled so far in front of the criminally-unguarded Capitol building

Lot of body armor and guns. Observe the Hawaiian Boogaloo shirts

Also some of them appear to be dressed in Antifa-style black bloc

Not a large group yet but we’ll see what happens. The normie-to-brawler ratio matters a lot at these things for whether things get violent and I don’t like what I’m seeing so far

While we’re all waiting to see if anything happens today, here’s a throwback to that one time Oregon broke into their Capitol building a month before DC did it

Maybe 25 now. They’ve moved across the street to stand right in front of the capitol building

The Antifa-looking dudes have remained across the street but were ABSOLUTELY hanging out with the far right, as seen in the above video/still

I’m nervous about a false flag with them

These numbers remain so small that press outnumbers them

I’d be standing bored with them except I’m in my undercover getup and the crowd is too small for me to blend in. It’s a great problem and I’m happy to have it; I’m extremely down to spend all day just hanging around Salem

Does anyone else find it hilarious that the far right endlessly insulted the courage of BLM activists in Portland who stood strong against federal forces for over 100 days, then fell apart completely in the face of federal pushback?

Strong Unite the Right 2 vibes. I may not stay long

For years at right wing events I’ve heard the same speech over and over: how they’re oppressed as conservatives, as Christians, how they have it worse than any other group

But observe how they crumble in the face of ANY state pushback
